Colorado and Washington College Athletes Can't Smoke Pot.

Bad news for marijuana-users in college sports in Colorado and Washington: Even after both states became the first in the U.S. to legalize the recreational use of the drug, it remains illegal under federal law, making it a banned substance by the NCAA.
According to the Seattle Times, the banned-drug rules are not tied to whether a substance is legal for general use. Other over-the-counter products that are considered contraband also include Muscle Milk, Sudafed, Midol, Airborne and some flavors of Vitamin Water.
NFL and NBA players in the two states aren’t free to use the drug either, as marijuana remains a prohibited substance in the leagues’ anti-drug policies.
