Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban Officially Join Show!!
American Idol announced the judging panel for its upcoming season Sunday (9/16). Joining Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson will be rapper Nicki Minaj and country singer Keith Urban.
FOX confirmed the additions just hours before auditions kicked off in New York for the show's 12th season. The new line-up comes after Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez departed the show earlier this year. Randy almost left, too. But according to sources, producers brought him back after talks with Enrique Iglesias fell apart.
