She was granted 10K

A Connecticut utility company that had been mistakenly charging a Cheshire customer for two street lights, for the past 25 years, has issued the woman an apology and check for $10,491. When Grace Edwards' bills increased years ago, Connecticut Light & Power officials told her that the change was probably caused by a computer, refrigerator or television. The company recently discovered that Edwards had been paying for the electricity used to power two street lights. A spokesperson said, "Mrs. Edwards received service that is below our standards and we have apologized to her for the error and the inconvenience." (NBC)
